About my Animation Work

But here are few little pieces that I did in various digital companies for websites and apps. I love doing these, and hope to do more in the future.

My professional career actually began in animation, in 1990, before even graduating from art college—where I'd studied it with a passion. At college, I was already doing some freelance animation work for RTE National Television, on popular shows, before going into an animation studio as an assistant animator on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. After (stupidly!) turning down a job with Ireland's best animation studio—Sullivan Bluth—I switched to contracting as an animator at two other smaller Irish studios. Ah... the naivete and idealism of youth.

After that, my partner and I ran our own very small animation business, creating animation for RTE and advertising agencies up until the mid-90s, when I switched over more to Illustration work for Books, Press, Magazines, and TV.
